Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure, usually performed on an outpatient basis, that is used to diagnose and treat conditions in the pelvic cavity.
It involves inserting a small camera, a laparoscope, through a tiny incision in the abdomen. This technique allows for thorough evaluation of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and other pelvic organs. It is commonly used to diagnose and treat conditions such as endometriosis, scar tissue, or ovarian cysts. Laparoscopy provides surgeons with a clear view of the pelvic cavity and facilitates the removal or treatment of various abnormalities. It is often recommended for patients
experiencing persistent pelvic pain or when addressing endometriosis, ovarian cysts, or certain tubal and uterine issues.
It’s important to note that in cases of significant pelvic endometriosis or scar tissue, many providers now recommend forgoing this surgery and proceeding directly to IVF to maximize pregnancy chances, thanks to IVF’s high success rates.
子宮肌瘤切除術
Myomectomy is a surgical procedure to remove uterine fibroids, noncancerous growths in the uterine muscle. Myomectomy restores normal uterine shape and function, and can improve fertility and pregnancy success rates.
Myomectomy is recommended if fibroids cause pain, pressure, bleeding, or fertility issues, and particularly for fibroids involving the uterine cavity (submucosal fibroids) when a future pregnancy is planned.

Tubal Reanastomosis
Please note: Tubal reanastomosis involves microscopically reconnecting fallopian tubes after tubal ligation. This procedure is not performed at ICRM.
While this surgery can be successful in selected cases, its success largely depends on the woman’s age and overall tubal health. Many women choose to forgo tubal reanastomosis and directly pursue IVF, which offers high success rates, especially following tubal sterilization.
